During the year of 2023 I took on the creative enterprise of installation art in Studio 12.8 at Art on 12 in Wimberley, Texas. These are snipets of what was created that year. I look forward to more installation work in th future.
Look-at-me
A conceptual piece exploring the experience of the artist as part of a gallery filled with others artists and their artwork. Asking the questions of how ones work stands out, whether or not it is important, and what constitutes good work.
the bird
A multi-media celebration of all things bird and how we honor them through artwork, contructs, collecting, and memoralbilia.
circle of life
A multi-media piece of artwork using found objects, live plants, and poetry depicting the stages of life, its interconnectedness and the cycle necessary to maintain it.
DAYLIGHT/BLACKLIGHT
Exploration of color and light. How artwork changes in the light of day or in a dark room under blacklight. Artwork's ability to change mood and meaning relative to how it's viewed in different environments. A nod to our sixties and seventies experience.
